Enabling Research in Biotechnology
EIRA have released a new film today which explores how the project has enabled research in biotechnology.
Featuring interviews with Dr Kenny Lang, Knowledge Exchange Fellow on the EIRA project, Dr Sheng Qi from the University of East Anglia’s School of Pharmacy and James Cook from PCE Automation, the film focuses on a revolutionary biotechnology project that EIRA have supported to develop 3D printed ‘polypills’. The idea behind the project came from the need to reduce wastage and costs, whilst encouraging medicine uptake by combining drug treatements in one pill, rather than a patient having to take multiple tablets throughout the day.
